Our Goal: Keeping the Tight Junctions Closed!
Welcome to my “Virtually There” personal page. To me “virtually there” means visualizing the change we want to see. Our vision, as the picture you see on my page, is that of the tight junction working as intended. Our immunity system produces too much zonulin, which, in effect, opens the intestinal gateways and allows gluten to enter and trigger a faulty immune response. This faulty immune response actually destroys our intestine. Eliminating consumption of the 3 terrible gluten-producing grains (wheat, rye & barley) is the current treatment approach. However, research is underway to find a cure to help the immunity system work properly and keep those tight junctions closed!
Your donation will go to help research identify a more effective treatment approach as well as continue the journey to increase awareness.
